Guan Xiao Tong is a Chinese actress of Manchu descent. She was born on September 17, 1997 in Beijing into an acting family. Guan Xiao Tong received acclaim for her role in the 2003 film “Nuan” at the age of 4. She gained fame as a child actress in such notable films as “The Promise” (2005) and “The Left Ear” (2015) and later in television dramas “May December Love” (2014), “A Master of Two Servants” (2014), “To Be a Better Man” (2016), “Untouchable Lovers” (2018) and “Sweet Combat” (2018). She is referred to as the “Nation’s Daughter” in China and is regarded as one of the “Four Dan Actresses of the Post-90s Generation” along with Zheng Shuang, Zhou Dong Yu and Yang Zi.
Her father, Guan Shao Zeng, was an actor, and her grandfather, Guan Xue Zeng was the founder of Beijing Qinshu. From an early age, her family encouraged a passion for the arts. In 2016, Guan was admitted into the Beijing Film Academy after placing first in both the practical and written section of the Chinese College Entrance Examinations.
In 2017, Guan became the ambassador for “World Life Day”, a joint campaign by the United Nations Environment Programme, International Fund for Animal Welfare and The Nature Conservancy.
